How to Help Your Case
We want to help you. Use your lawyer. Don’t talk to the other person’s insurance company or representative without a lawyer present or without talking to your lawyer first.
After the incident where you or your family member was injured try to do the following:
- Find out as much information you can about what happened
- If it is an auto, truck or bike collision, call the police.
- Cooperate with law enforcement.
- Go to the doctor or hospital if you need to. Your health is the top priority.
- When you come in to see us, bring as much documentation as possible, such as police information, photos of the location or vehicles, your insurance policy or anything that you think will be useful.
List of Things to Do
- TAKE CARE OF YOUR INJURIES AND YOUR PASSENGERS’ INJURIES.
- If you are in an auto collision or crash, call the police or ask someone to call the police.
- Stay at the scene until the police get there. We find that it makes it much more difficult to deal with at fault drivers and insurance companies when no police report has been prepared.
- You may have to move your car to allow traffic to move, but find someone who agrees as to the placement of the vehicles before you move it. If you know of any witnesses, take their name, address and phone number.
- If you are injured, the police will ask you if you need assistance at the scene. That is your decision. If you are injured, but do not want to go to a hospital emergency room, please go to your doctor, as soon as possible to be checked out. Your health should be the highest priority.
